These traditional throwing weapons were inspired by the South American Boleadoras. Using them as a base I added more traditional Japanese engravings into the design and tweaked it until it clicked. The traditional Japanese flower patterns alongside the symbol of the Shogun are elements that are incorporated into the design.

Although a super low resolution mesh was not one of the goals for the project, the final mesh polycount for this asset is 50578 Tris, the majority of which comes from the chain, as I didn't want to sacrifice visual fidelity on a fairly large part of this piece.
